I bought 20-something.net
Once skool begins again, I shall finally finish my research and refine the results in a suitable form. The data and opinions will be available there - once I build it. LOL.
Have to say, the predictions are turning out to be true. They are assholes, for lack of a better word. It is so embarrassing, not to mention distressing, to even be of the same age group as they are.
If you are as allergic to this ever-growing group as I am, steer clear of SCCC. Even so, it is a perfect environment to study them in their 'preferred habitat'.
Wish I could get credit in some class for all this work. LOL.
As I said below, LiveJournal is lame. A better place to find me is myspace, and on AIM.

I won't ever call it an "LJ".
I keep my comments on others' entries to a minimum...these entires are not chat rooms. Many posts appear as such.
I am telling you now that if I post a comment to your live journal, it is for a darn good reason - nothing frivolous.
I recognize that my entries amount to nothing in the grand scheme of things...though I see many people who think that their entries will stand the test of time.
I will endeavor to keep my entries related to my life or that of those close to me...not some fiery, passionate opinion on something.
I know that live journals have no deep purpose, meaning, or whatever.
I shall resist the urge to rant about political or social issues on my live journal, as all too many sadly do - I'll save that for the bloggers (LOL).
I respect your opinions on your posts to mine however. Also, I respect your right not to post.
I refrain from refraining from posting objectionable content...if you don't like the crap, too bad. It's usually pretty boring and inoffensive though.
I see that many people live their lives by their posts and the posts of others. I don't, and I suggest you don't either - CMC is not real interaction.
Finally, I acknowledge the fact that nobody REALLY cares about my live journal (or yours). |

Okay...just came to a new conclusion - A "blog" is run by a person who thinks they're too mature and/or sophisticated to have a "Live Journal" (how juvenile ::sticks nose in air:: ). Bloggers - Get your head out of the clouds and get down off your high horse - you are a normal person and a blog is NOT a news source.
It's just some random asshole's (albeit well written) opinion of stuff.
Like my site... [sorry, its not 'ready for prime-time' anymore]
Its nothing but rants. And it comes right out and says that. Most blogs project the appearance that they are an valid mainstream viewpoint of a political or social issue.
In reality...it’s simply mature ranting. Have fun bloggers...LMFAO |

School continues...
And it sux0rs. It's so lonely and disheartening. Same old classes, day after day...asshole pretentious teachers - also known as "professors".
I can't wait to transfer for winter quarter to Seattle Central.
Psych has been hell. It goes too fast and its a "hybrid" class...which we wern't told to the first day. Hybrid means that some of the work has to be done online and weekly study groups are required. I hate submitting work online...I like to slam down my homework on the teacher's desk...not post to some forum. Papers are required every week. That's not so bad, but it has to be done through study groups...and I have to admit that each of us taking a portion of the paper to write isn't so bad.
The tests every Monday really suck though. The information so far has been total shit. It's all physical brain stuff. A new student could walk in tomorrow and think he's in a Biology class. It's that dry. Scantron tests, of course...ugh.
Other classes...Speech - That's actually kind of cool. Not much work to do. It's a bit too personal for my tastes though. The teacher is really nice, does a lot of wisecracks. Usually I would have no problem with that...but something about the situation doesn't click with me. The over-prevalence of "old people" (late 20s and up) really weirds me out. I'm not on their level. Some of the jokes are not nasty or anything, but are directed towards the older portion of the class.
By far the stupidist class is "Stratagies for Acedemic Success". Its such a BS class. It's all running-start kids and old fogies who never finished HS and are trying to get their GED after 60 years or whatever. My current opinions on school (aka I HATE IT) have to be silenced in this class. Its about "Acedemic Success" which means telling us how to take notes, use the library and computers, and getting all enthusiastic about personal learning styles. We have to write journal entires on out "discoveries". It's all such shit. If I want this kind of crap I can sign up for one of those pop-psych motivational seminars. This class is required and only 2 credits. I'll be glad when its over.
I had a math class too but I dropped it. I'll take that over at SC when I get there. |

Well, here it is, the first Friday of the school year...am I partying? Apparently not. LOL
I'm instead sitting here being bored. Not that I'm a wild party animal that is being deprived. Just as a stereotypical Friday night goes...this aint one for the record books. Doing some homework so I won't have to do it later in the weekend.
I AM happy that I don;t have to wake up early tomorrow!
Talking to friends online, which is never boring.
Lets see...got some new shoes today. They're on my feet now - sketchers.
Ate a DQ Blizzard today. Oreo. YUMMMM
Ugh...bored. Need to run around. Which would mean I'm actually restless and not just bored. But then that would mean I'm confused. And all this backing up and redeciding my emotional state would lead some to believe its paranoia...then again...ROFL. I'll just chill.
Peace. |

Second, skool sucks...
Thats all there is to it. People are either assholes, rednecks, or just plain boring. Too many navy people...omg. And too many old people...
And too many KIDS! I'm talking little kids...
I know its not your fault that you're pregnant at 17 or whatever the hell is the case...but come on...there's a DAY CARE! Don't take your kids to class. Very distracting.
The daily drive to Bremerton also sucks.
Thats it. You may now resume your pitiful lives as I resume mine. |

Oh yeah...my trip. It was hella awesome. Pullman is about 250-300 miles from Seattle, so it was a ways. Left at 9:45am I think and arrived in Pullman (no stops pretty much) at 3:30pm...thats a long drive. The good part is that you can drive real fast in Easter Washington. People were going 90 in a 55...i decided it would be better to go 55...but when I was getting passed by everyone including a cop, I decided it would be better to speed up.
Cars get so much better gas mileage when you're cruising.
Seeing my friends was fun. Really topped off the summer.
Now, though, I'm back to the monotony again. School starts soon...and that's gonna suck.
Need a better job...jobs suck. Pointless and a big waste of my time. All they're good for is money and I need plenty of that right now...
If some rich millionaire is reading this, please feel free to give me some money. Cash preferred...large, non sequential bills in two unmarked plastic bags...the drop point is...ROFL...don't I wish.

Well, first of all, someone died in a car wreck. Very sad of Bainbridge. Not to be heartless, but I'm sick of writing about it.
Second of all, I'm going to Pullman WA (on the WAY other side of the state) to visit my friend before his college starts.
Third of all, I hate getting into arguments. All it does is piss both parties off. One thing people must realize though is that the teen years are for being wild and crazy and experimenting.
We are not yet qualified to make major life decisons at this point. Even at 21, just cause you can buy guns and drink alcohol doesn't mean you're informed enough to make an important descision.
As young people we are ruled by emotions, the media, and an immature mind. There is nothing we can do about that and it is quite pretentious to say that we are right and set, and have decided about whatever. Being in high school doesn't make you an expert on anything. Being in college doesn't give you much more than an education defined my mainly liberal professors...and their OPINIONS. College doesn't give you the right to say that your descisions are correct either.
Medical fact that most people probably don't want to hear and probably like to ignore...our brains aren't done developing until we're about 25. Thats not my opinion, its a fact. Therefore, before that, no matter how informed and mature we attempt to be, it's all a front. It's pretend. We are pretending to be this way.
Get over it. We aren't. Nothing you can do about that.
Descisions like marriage, sexual orientation, social status, politics, whatever (even though we are LEGALLY allowed to make them) are best left to a mature mind. Which I do not have, nor anyone in my age group and certainly not below my age group.
We wouldn't say it's okay for a 12 year old to buy a gun. So why is it okay for an immature person (yes, at 21 you are still immature - gasp) to make life changing descisions.
It's not just about information. You can get information off the internet, from parents, teachers, friends. Whatever. It's about experience and having your brain being done delveloping. Reading all the highbrow books and taking advanced classes wont give you this. Being popular, taking drugs, being 'different', or living la vida loca wont give you this. Time alone will.
And yes, most of this is my opinion, the opinion of a fellow immautrue person. Choose to listen to it or not. Just remember...your brain aint finished yet. That's the FACT that you must remember.
And, as Forrest Gump says, "And that's all I have to say about that."
[Now...back to packing for my trip] |

Sorry for lack of updates. That last Friday was nuts. Much wild partying and went to the movies on Saturday night. Good times for all.
As for the rest of this last week...not too much went on. No work till Thursday. No work on Friday. Felt like crap some of the week.
Been toiling over an un-coopertive computer for a friend of mine. I hope she likes it when she gets back from vacation.
All in all, not too much. I'm always hopeful that something will materialize for the weekend though :-) |
